Dinghy Sailing LSYC 2012
The dinghy sailing and training group has been in operation at Lough Swilly Yacht Club for many years, and provides club members, friends and interested visitors an opportunity to learn to sail or to improve knowledge and skills. We have a fabulous, safe resource in the creek and dinghies are a natural route for aspiring sailors into the sport. All our training courses use the clubs own fleet of modern Laser PICO dinghies, but other types of dinghy are most welcome to join in all dinghy sailing activity.

The dinghy group meets throughout the season to develop sailing skills, race around some cans and generally have a good time. The group is open to all, young and old, novice, improvers and even experts. For those starting out, there will be someone around to help out with a few tips.

Points to Note
- The club RIB will be in use for dinghy group events.
- Children are very welcome but must be supervised by parent/guardian.
- Life jackets must be worn by all. This is a legal requirement.
- Helmets are recommended.
- Anyone taking part must be able to swim comfortably out of their depth.
- Club dinghies are available for club members.
- Use of slipway by motorboaters and jet skiers is discouraged during dinghy meets.
- LSYC accepts no responsibility for loss of life or injury to participants or others or for loss or damage to vessel.

Sunday September 9 at 11:00
Everyone is welcome; there will be dinghy racing for young and old, novices and salty sea dogs, and refreshments in the clubhouse during and after the day's activities.
