Sailing Summer School 2012

This year, the annual summer sailing school will be run in Fahan Creek during July and August. The school will make use of LSYC clubhouse, dinghies and other facilities, and all participants on the course will be welcome to join LSYC to continue their sailing.

In 2010 we purchased a new fleet of Laser Pico dinghies to replace our ageing Toppers. The Laser Pico is a very popular boat with sailing schools. It is suitable for younger teenagers and adults. With main and jib, they can be sailed as a single-handed or 2 person boat. All our sailing courses are delivered by qualified instructors, and use our fleet of Picos.

Course fee includes:

Lifejackets / Helmets / Cagoules
Safety boat cover during all courses
Changing Rooms and Showers in Clubhouse
Classroom in Clubhouse
A limited supply of wetsuits is available

All participants must be aged 9 or over and must be able to swim confidently, out of their own depth.
